The modern AI workflow

Let’s break down the exact workflow we see working today.

1. Start with positioning (not tools)

AI can assist you right from the beginning. Use it to define audience segments (e.g. homeowners, seniors, high-debt users, small business owners) and angles (saving money, urgency, comparison, relief) for your vertical.

AI can assist in identifying key audience segments and crafting angles that will resonate best with them. For example, you could ask:

“Act as a high-level marketer in the auto insurance space. Help me identify 5 audience segments. For each segment suggest 5 ad angles that will resonate with US drivers looking to lower their monthly payments. For each of those angles think of 5 hooks that I could use in my ads."

Once you get the first output, remember that it’s a starting point — refine it manually, adjust the tone, and tailor the content to each platform’s unique style. Then expand the best ones into scripts.

2. Turn scripts into videos

This is where AI becomes a real “team multiplier.”

Common stack used by affiliates:

  • AI avatars (HeyGen, similar tools)
  • AI video generators (Google Veo 3, Sora 2, etc.)
  • basic editing tools (CapCut)

Workflow:

  • Generate avatar talking-head video
  • Generate supporting B-roll scenes
  • Combine in editor
  • Add subtitles (could also be made by AI, like OpusClip) + pacing

Important insight from real campaigns: fully automated video rarely works well alone. Winning creatives usually mix avatar + B-roll, use human-like pacing and include manual edits.

You don’t need 100 completely new ads. You need:

  • 1–2 new concepts per day
  • 3–6 variations per concept

Variations can be:

  • slightly different script tone
